Even though proposition 8 (recent homosexual marriage vote in CA) is long over I still find stuff about it on youtube and watch those videos, and I don't even live in California.

So there was one video I watched [link] was a NO on Prop 8 video! and I commented "marriage is about love, not gender and the ability to reproduce. If I lived in california and was able to vote for this, NO would definately be my vote." and I keep getting negative replies.

The first said "then I should be able to marry a tree, the sunset and the newly released Twilight Zone box set. Douchebag." This shit head (pardon my french) obviously thinks that I am that stupid. What the idiot needs to learn is the definition of love. I certainly did not mean that kind of love when you find something amazing. I meant true love when you want to be with this person forever.

The second was "Well, the majority of the nation (even in liberal CA) disagree and feel marriage & family go hand in hand and believe traditional family values should continue support this great nation.

Oh...and this "equality" nonsense...nothing more than a well repeated lie. CA (CA Family Code 297.5) & ME both offer the exact same legal rights to domestic partnerships while allowing the people to decide how "marriage" should be defined. " this one really made me mad because the person obviously doesn't know anything about a domestic partnership. first of all the name makes it sound as though you're eachother's pets. Second, did you know that it can take years for a couple in a domestic partnership to get SOME of the rights given to a married couple right away?

The third "Gays don't contribute to society because they don't reproduce. Therefore they should not be allowed to marry, as marriage is reserved for the people who really count." This dick bag (oops more french!!) really pissed me off (there i go again) because he was making it sound as though homosexual people are a disese upon the planet.


Sorry if you hate these rant journals but I had to get this all off my chest, and don't worry I told all of these people exactly how I felt and guess what, none of them have responded back. Guess they didn't back up their "evidence" enough to prove me wrong.
